Registered Behavior Technicians
At Chrysalis, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is the foundation of our company. They are skilled and caring professionals who work directly with your learner to help them learn new skills and manage challenging behaviors. RBTs are certified through the Behavior Analytic Certification Board, requiring them to receive specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), pass a certification exam and meet supervision requirements put in place by the board.
What an RBT Does:
Works One-on-One: RBTs spend time with the learner during therapy sessions, guiding them through activities that teach important skills, such as communication, social interaction, and daily living tasks.
Supports Behavior Goals: They help the learner practice positive behaviors and reduce any challenging behaviors, using strategies that are fun and engaging.
Collects Progress Data: RBTs carefully track learners' progress by collecting data during each session. This information helps the whole team see how the learner is doing and make any needed adjustments to the therapy plan.
Collaborates with the team: RBTs often work closely with therapy team to ensure that the strategies used in therapy are consistent in other settings.
RBTs play a vital role in helping the learner grow and succeed. They are compassionate professionals who are dedicated to making a positive difference the learner's life.
